Weekend Update
The fishing on Saturday was terrible due to a very hard east wind on Friday. There was a big roll in the bay and it killed any chance we had of putting any kind of catch together. On Sunday the the fluking turned on as the day progressed. We pick away at the shorts with some shots at keepers every now and then. Steve Kerry was yet again the pool winner with a 5 pound fluke. That makes it 5 pools in his last 5 trips, and 11 pool on the year. Can you say, “En Fuego!!”

Steve Kerry won another pool yesterday, and as the true champ he has been, gave his fish away to a less fortunate angler. He also gave me the opportunity to take a photo of “The Ambassadors” Gulp collection. As some of you may not know, Steve does not use natural bait. He is a hardcore jig fisherman, and only uses bucks and Gulp. Today’s pool winner was caught on a red Gulp/Spro, and the last three pool winners including the June pool fish, were caught on black Gulp, which I heard has been labeled counterfeit. Todays Live Report
First Drift
We could not ask for better conditions right now, and we are slugging away at the fluke.
Second Drift
We picked away again at the fish with the first few keepers of the day being caught. It wasn’t as consistent as the first one, but it was still ok.

Third Drift
Slow picked on this one with a couple of keepers mixed in. We are losing the current, but still float slowly with the wind. Going to make the next one in some holes to our south. . Every fluke we catch has been spitting up crabs, mussels, and hermits.

Fourth Drift
The wind came around out of the east and is up against the tide. We still pick at the fluke, and have had a few shots of keepers. Still fishing in the holes to the north.

A keeper fluke spit up this whole squid after it was netted.
Fifth thru the Final Drift
The bite remained the same for the rest of the day. We had some very good moments where there would be a few on at once, and we would also have some dull moments as well. There were three people tied for high hook with 3 keepers.

Check back tomorrow for more live updates.
