Sailing Sunday

The weather looks good for Sunday with this front moving up the coast later this evening. We will be shaping up and sailing Sunday morning for porgies, sea bass and blackfish.

The excellent fishing continues!! The storm that passed last weekend pushed some of the larger porgies from the Long Island area offshore to where we have been fishing, and a few people had their limit. The blackfish bite is turning on too with most customers catching their limit of one. Rene Lima won today's pool with a 5 pound blackfish.

Finally the weather has improved and it looks like tomorrow is going to be a perfect day for fishing!! We will be sailing from 7:30am to 4:00pm for porgies, sea bass, and blackfish.

Another day of great fishing!!!

It was non-stop, fireball fishing all day with a mix of porgies, sea bass, and blackfish being caught. A few people had their limit of 50 porgies, and the pool winner was Ken "The Legend" Havens with a 4 pound blackfish.

Porgy Gold is BACK!!

After losing a couple of trips because of the weather, we headed offshore today and came pretty close to limiting out the boat with porgies. It was easily the best day of fishing this season. In addition to the porgies, we caught a few big sea bass up to 4 pounds.

Bottom Fishing Update

The weather has really been putting a hurting on us lately. It seems that every Wednesday and Saturday a front comes through and puts a damper on the fishing. Sunday we fished offshore and had a pick of fish. We made a move inshore to the reef and had a good pick of porgies.

The weather looks good for this weekend so far. We will be sailing this weekend, Saturday & Sunday from 7:30am to 4:00pm.

Fishing was not good on Wednesday. A 25 knots northwest wind made it a little sloppy and the fish did not want to eat. Mostly porgies were caught. We will try again on Saturday. That is if the weather doesn't knock us out.

Fishing was good on Saturday with around a 50/50 ratio between porgies and sea bass. We will be heading out again tomorrow morning for more bottom fishing action.

From here on out I will be back to posting a report on the evening after a trip.

Fishing was slow Wednesday. The sea bass outnumbered the porgies. We will be doing it again this weekend, Saturday and Sunday from 7:30am - 4:00pm.

Pretty good fishing over the weekend with around a 50/50 mix between sea bass and porgies. We will be doing it again on Wednesday.

The porgies and sea bass had Mother Nature on their side today. 25 knot NE wind and rain for most of the day made made for a horrible day of fishing. . . We will be switching to bottom fishing on Saturday's.

Gold that is!! Porgy gold!!!

Our first porgy trip was a huge success. Rapid fire, "En Fuego" fishing all day. Three people with their limit on porgies (50 is the limit), two dozen triggerfish, and a dozen+ sea bass. It was REAL nice to put fish in the boat.
